Job Description

The Management Department at Bentley University invites applications for a tenure-track/tenured position in Organizational Behavior, effective fall 2018. The appointment will be at the assistant/associate professor level. Salary is competitive.

We are looking candidates who are active researchers and have held an academic position for at least three years since receiving a PhD or equivalent terminal degree in Organizational Behavior or a closely related discipline.

Responsibilities include publishing high-quality scholarly research, teaching OB-related courses or human resources at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and participating in other academic and professional activities. In addition, Bentley has an active doctoral program and new faculty members are encouraged to become involved in working with our doctoral candidates.

We are very committed to both excellence in the classroom and to producing high-quality research. Departmental faculty members have a diverse set of research interests and have published in top academic journals including Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, MIS Quarterly, The Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Academy of Management Learning and Education, Management Science, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Organization Studies, Industrial and Corporate Change, The Journal of World Business, Journal of Management Studies, Human Relations, Long Range Planning, Research Policy, Business and Society, and Business Ethics Quarterly. Required Qualifications

A well-qualified applicant must have a PhD or equivalent terminal degree in Organizational Behavior or a closely related discipline. Applicants must demonstrate evidence of a strong commitment to teaching excellence. The individual hired for this position will be expected to be an enthusiastic participant in the Management Department, Bentley University and the wider academic community.
